Position Summary

The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations and interventions. The duties of this position can/will include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings. Physician Assistants/Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational rounds. Administrative requirements will include standard‑of‑practice recordings of all patient encounters, using dictation or electronic medical records where available. Assistants must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Qualifications
  • Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant
  • Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
  • Prior experience preferred
Physician Assistants
  • Candidates must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to the College and eligible for national certification
Clinical Assistants
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • Clinical Assistant Assessment
    • NAC OSCE
    • LMCC
