A social services organization in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Children’s Wellness Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting children in care and ensuring their service needs are met according to relevant regulations. Applicants should possess a minimum two-year Human Services Diploma and experience with Anishinabek children and families. This is a full-time contract position based in Thunder Bay. Under the direction of the Children’s Wellness or District Child Welfare Service Manager, the Children’s Wellness Worker is responsible for providing the protection of children in care by performing duties as may be required, in accordance with provisions of the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations and Standards, Abuse Protocols, and Dilico Anishinabek Family Care policies and procedures. The Children’s Services Worker is responsible for ensuring that all the service needs of children in care of the agency are met.
