Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR Certificate and IV Initiation Skills
• Current NRP Certification mandatory
• Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal applicants
• Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
• Experience in OBS Nursing within the past 2 years with the following
• vaginal examination
• assisting with epidural anaesthetic
• fetal monitoring
• Syntocinon induction of labour and magnesium sulphate administration
• Completion of module one breastfeeding program (Level I) or successful completion of challenge preferred
• Completion of Fetal Health Surveillance Course
• Committed to family centred care and patient focused care philosophy.
• Experience with paediatrics within past 5 years
• Satisfactory Attendance if internal
• Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
• Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check
