Job summary

A Catholic School Board in Ontario is seeking a Long Term Occasional Teaching Position (0.5 FTE) for an NSL LTO Teacher. The ideal candidate will be a current member of the Ontario College of Teachers, preferably fluent in Ojibwe, and able to implement a vision consistent with Catholic Education. This role requires a cover letter, resume, and various qualifications documents. The position is open until filled.

Long Term Occasional Teaching Position: 0.5 FTE NSL LTO Teacher

Start Date: As soon as possible for an undetermined period of time

Location: St. Hilary Catholic School, Red Rock

Position Qualifications:

  • Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers Primary/Junior/Intermediate Qualifications
  • Indigenous Language Instructor's Program
  • Fluent in Ojibwe, both oral and written is preferred *
  • An ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principals of Catholic Education, integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations and Seven Grandfather teachings within the curriculum *

Required Documents:

  • Current Pastoral Reference (if applicable)
  • Cover letter and resume of qualifications and experience
  • Copy of Ontario College of Teachers - Certification of Qualification or letter of successful completion of an educational program if OCT pending
  • Most recent LTO evaluation or most recent appraisal, if available
  • A minimum of three (3) references, including most recent reference, and email addresses must be included in order for your package to be considered complete
  • Successful completion of all Safety training courses
  • Must undergo a successful vulnerable sector check
