Job summary
A technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Software Engineer IV to lead technical initiatives in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate will manage the software development lifecycle, design scalable solutions, and mentor team members. Key skills include backend development proficiency in Python, SQL, MongoDB, and AWS, as well as effective communication and collaboration. This position is a contract role with an expectation of 40 hours weekly, supporting US-based client projects.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer IV to lead technical initiatives, tackle complex engineering challenges, and provide mentorship to the team. This role requires expertise in software development, leadership in driving projects, and the ability to design scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver project requirements
- Ensure engineering best practices are followed throughout development
- Contribute to system architecture and design discussions
- Expertise in at least one critical system / service and recognized leadership in that area
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions
- Ability to estimate project costs and resource needs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and innovation
- Proficiency in backend development using Python, SQL, MongoDB and AWS
- Preference for engineers with full‑stack proficiency, particularly in Vue.js
- Extensive experience designing and implementing scalable software solutions
- Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices
- Experience leading teams and managing software projects
