We work with mission-driven organizations, media groups, and product teams to build scalable, accessible, and performant web platforms. We're currently seeking full-stack developers to join our engineering team, with a strong emphasis on deep WordPress and modern JavaScript experience .

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our global engineering team. This position focuses on backend development — building and optimizing custom WordPress plugins, APIs, and integrations for large-scale, high-performance websites.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of WordPress internals, experience working with enterprise clients, and a strong understanding of scalable, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom WordPress plugins and themes from scratch using PHP, MySQL, and modern best practices.
• Implement advanced custom fields (ACF) , custom post types , and taxonomies for structured data management.
• Optimize database queries and improve performance across complex WordPress sites (meta queries, caching, indexing).
• Integrate WordPress with third-party APIs and automation tools (REST, webhook systems, Make/Zapier, Algolia, etc.).
• Develop and maintain cron jobs , background tasks, and data synchronization scripts.
• Build and maintain Gutenberg blocks or React-based admin components when required.
• Ensure sites meet performance, accessibility, and SEO standards (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, design) following Agile practices.
• Write clean, well-documented, and unit-tested code following OOP principles and WordPress coding standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience , focusing on backend and custom plugin work.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .
• Experience with WordPress hooks (actions & filters) , custom queries, and optimization strategies.
• Proficient in ACF , CPT UI , Gutenberg , and WooCommerce .
• Solid understanding of WordPress REST API , webhooks , and API integrations .
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines .
• Experience with performance optimization , caching mechanisms, and scalable WordPress architectures.
• Advanced written and spoken English (international client communication required).
