About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Tax Manager to join our team, playing a pivotal role in achieving our financial and strategic objectives. This position directly supports the Brazil Finance Director’s priorities by safeguarding cash flow, optimizing effective tax rates, mitigating risks, and providing essential tax support for our dynamic growth initiatives, especially within the iGaming sector.

Key Responsibilities

As our Tax Manager, you will lead comprehensive tax operations, strategy, and technological integration. Your responsibilities will include:

• End‑to‑End Compliance : Owning full compliance for a wide range of Brazilian taxes (IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, ISS, CIDE, IRRF & CSRF), including the iGaming‑specific GGR levy, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation (CPC 32/IAS 12)
• iGaming Tax Architecture: Designing and enforcing tax treatment policies for critical iGaming elements (GGR, bonuses, chargebacks, etc.), conducting revenue reconciliation, and collaborating with Product, Payments, and Growth teams
• Regulatory & Risk Management: Maintaining real‑time awareness of tax regulation changes, leading federal and municipal audit defense efforts, and serving as the primary point‑of‑contact for all tax reviews
• Strategic Tax Advisory : Quantifying the tax impact of new business initiatives, structuring transfer pricing policies, managing cross‑border payments, and assessing municipal special tax regimes
• Technology & Performance: Driving continuous optimization of our tax engine through automation (RPA/APIs), integrating with ERPs and BI platforms, and reporting on key tax performance indicators (KPIs) like effective tax rate and credit utilization

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or Economics. Post‑graduate degree (Post‑grad/LL.M) in Tax preferred. CPA (CRC) or Bar Association (OAB) certification is a differentiator
• Experience : 5‑8 years of experience specifically in Brazilian tax, with a proven background in tax consulting or auditing and exposure to complex, multi‑sector projects

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of Brazilian Direct & Indirect Taxes : IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, ISS, CIDE and comprehensive knowledge of withholdings and compliance filings (EFD‑Contribuições, DCTF/DCTFWeb, EFD‑Reinf)
• iGaming Specifics : Familiarity with the specific tax regulations of the fixed‑odds betting sector in Brazil
• International Tax Basics : Knowledge of transfer pricing and cross‑border operations
• Accounting Integration : Experience with tax‑to‑book reconciliation (CPC/IFRS)
• Tools : Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; practical experience with ERPs and tax engines. Working knowledge of SQL/BI and automation tools (RPA/APIs) is not mandatory but highly valued
