TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales oriented activities, market development and communications.

ROLE STATEMENT

The TE Connectivity Energy Business Unit is currently seeking for a Senior Manager Sales to lead commercial activities associated with Utility product lines for the LAM region.

This role will report to the regional Vice President and General Manager of the Energy business unit.

In this role, you will serve on the AMS leadership team and report to the regional Vice President and General Manager.

The Energy business unit sells low to high voltage products to connect cables, protect and insulate power equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • With a keen eye for customer success and loyalty, the individual in this position will lead our sales team in LAM.
  • This team partners extensively with customers across the LAM region as well as members of our Strategy and Business Development, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering and Regional sales leaders, to develop and execute the BU Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and tactics to drive growth, within a direct reporting and matrix managed structure.
  • The Senior Manager Sales will bring a strategic growth-oriented and entrepreneurial mind-set, excellent commercial acumen, and leadership experience, "Go to Market" track record, deep customer relationships and a hands‑on leadership style.
  • The person must have the ability to inspire, engage and motivate a large regional sales team to execute on the desired strategy in a broad portfolio of technical products whilst operating in a fast‑paced environment.
KEY EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
  • Success in the role requires extensive experience in the Utility Sales Market in each country of Latin America and major geographies of Central America and Caribbean region.
  • In addition, extensive experience managing, coaching and nurturing remote teams to drive high efficiency on sales growth.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineer, complemented by a degree in Administration or MBA focused program;
  • Minimum of 10 Years with direct reports with responsibilities in the areas of Commercial, Product Management and / or Sales;
  • Foreign Language : Potuguese, Spanish and English (fluent in speaking, reading and writing);
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a Sales Organization, making sure that action plans are created and properly executed.
  • Experience on developing teams, providing feedback and motivate the sales teams to achieve their performance goals and the expected growth for the LAM Utility territory;
  • Strong Technical background on the field of Electrical Products, able to provide technical and commercial presentations as well as to present to the upper management constant clear & concise Market Updates of his territory of responsibility.
  • Prior specific experience selling Electrical Products required;
  • Broad experience on the market dynamics for the Utility Electrical segment, in each of the countries of Latin & Central America and Caribbean;
  • High levels of conceptual thinking, problem structuring and analysis, cross functional team leadership, and the ability to work across organizational boundaries.
