About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Murex Developer to join our team, supporting strategic initiatives within the financial sector. The role begins as fully remote, with the expectation of relocation to Portugal after an agreed transition period. You will work closely with multicultural teams, contributing to the enhancement and stability of the Murex MX.3 platform.
Develop, customize, and maintain components and configurations within Murex MX.3, across modules such as Trading, Risk, Collateral, and Back Office.
Build and enhance workflows, simulation views, formulas, and MxML Exchange interfaces.
Design and maintain integrations with internal and external systems (REST, SOAP, MQ, APIs, ETL, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, ensuring system stability and performance.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA, and project teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Support release cycles, functional testing, regression testing, and UAT phases.
Maintain compliance with technical standards, documentation, and governance processes.
Hands‑on experience with Murex MX.3 (configuration, development, or integration).
Solid knowledge of Datamart, MxML Exchange, Workflows, Simulation Views, and other core Murex components.
Strong programming skills: Java, SQL, Shell Script, and ideally Python.
Experience with system integrations, middleware, or messaging platforms.
Good understanding of financial instruments, especially derivatives (FX, IRD, Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities).
Strong English communication skills.
Willingness and eligibility to relocate to Portugal after the initial remote period.
Experience working with major banks or large international financial institutions.
Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools (CI / CD, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum.
Murex certifications or experience with MX.2 → MX.3 migrations.
Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving ability.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote and multicultural environments.
Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
Motivated to engage in a long‑term role involving relocation.
