Challenge

We are currently supporting a U.S.-based company seeking a Software Engineer for a temporary 4-month engagement, focused on feature development and modernization initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Develop new features and modernize existing ones across backend and frontend systems.
• Work primarily with Java and Spring on the backend and Angular on the frontend.
• Adopt a Shift Left development approach, taking ownership of testing and validating solution correctness.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure code quality, stability, and performance.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to boost productivity and efficiency.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of Java and the Spring framework.
• Experience with Angular for frontend development.
• Familiarity with Shift Left development practices and ownership of testing.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver within a fixed-term engagement.
• Clear and effective English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with at least one relational database and SQL.
• Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Previous experience working in modernization or legacy system improvement projects.
