The role involves designing and maintaining APIs, implementing scalable architectures, and developing both backend services and frontend applications. Required qualifications include 5+ years of experience, proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), API management tools, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. The ideal candidate will also have experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, along with CI/CD and container technologies.

• 5+ years of overall professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Experience with cloud deployment and management.

About the Role :

Role : Software Engineer

Location : Brazil (Remote)

Employment Type : Contract

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Apigee (preferred), KrakenD, or AWS API Gateway.

Implement scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.

Develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript / TypeScript with React or Angular.

Work with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

Utilize CI / CD pipelines (ADO Pipelines), GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage code, build processes, and deployments.

Write robust unit, integration, and automated tests using tools such as Cucumber and Mockito.

Contribute to cross-organization API standards, documentation, and best practices.

Collaborate with Agile / Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of overall professional experience.

Java (Spring Boot) : API Development

API Management (Apigee / KrakenD / AWS Gateway) : 3 years

Cloud Platforms (AWS / GCP) :

JavaScript / TypeScript :

React / Angular :

Strong understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).

Proficiency with CI / CD, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Experience writing automated tests (Cucumber, Mockito).

Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to API governance efforts.
