Job Title: Software Engineering Location : Brazil (Remote)

About the Role

We are hiring a DevOps Automation Engineer to join our database engineering team and lead the development of tools infrastructure automation and CICD workflows that power our database platforms You will partner closely with database architects to convert infrastructure and deployment needs into scalable maintainable productionready code

This is a handson engineering role focused on infrastructureascode Python development Kubernetes automation and GitOps delivery not direct database administration You will play a critical role in enabling the team to deliver fast safe and repeatable database solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain infrastructureascode for database environments using Terraform
• Build and manage CICD pipelines for database tools and platform deployments using GitHub Actions and Argo CD
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for deploying database operators and internal services to Kubernetes
• Write Python automation for provisioning patching backups secrets and compliance across platforms
• Manage GitOpsbased Kubernetes deployments and environments using Argo CD
• Implement and standardize secrets management integrations eg Vault AWS Secrets Manager KMS
• Integrate observability into database platforms eg Prometheus Grafana New Relic
• Partner with DB engineers to support automated test environments mocking and validation tooling
• Create and maintain internal tooling libraries templates and reusable modules
• Produce and maintain documentation for workflows standards and L2 onboarding

Core Qualifications

Infrastructure Cloud

• Proficiency with Terraform for AWS andor multicloud infrastructure modular DRY design remote state
• Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals IAM roles VPC networking EC2 storage monitoring KMS
• Handson experience with Helm chart creation customization lifecycle management
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads StatefulSets PVCs RBAC node affinity
• Proficient with Argo CD and GitOps principles for Kubernetes application delivery

Automation Tooling

• Strong Python development skills for platform automation tool creation and libraries
• Experience building and managing CICD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
• Familiarity with configuration and parameterization of database operators CNPG Percona Redis etc
• Experience integrating secrets automation workflows with Vault External Secrets or similar tools

Observability Monitoring

• Experience integrating tools such as Prometheus Grafana New Relic and custom exporters
• Understanding of SLOSLAdriven alerting and metrics pipelines

Operational Excellence

• Ability to translate infrastructure and platform needs into scalable code
• Comfortable creating documentation onboarding guides and reusable templates
• Effective communicator able to collaborate with DB engineers SREs and platform teams
• Ownership mindset deliver solutions endtoend proactively identify gaps and lead improvements

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB Redis or other database platforms
• Experience with secrets management via Vault Agent or External Secrets Operator
• Exposure to load testing frameworks or validation tooling for infrastruc=[ture components
• Experience supporting internal developer platforms or selfservice tooling layers
