A prestigious international school in São Paulo is seeking a qualified Science teacher to inspire students from Form 1 to Upper Sixth. The ideal candidate should be experienced with the IGCSE and IB curricula, have a passion for teaching, and be able to communicate effectively. This role includes time for professional development and contributes to a vibrant school culture. A two-year renewable contract with competitive expatriate benefits is offered.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified, ambitious and dedicated Science teacher to teach across the senior school age range from Form 1 to Upper Sixth (Y7 to 13). Experience of teaching IB diploma is preferable but not essential for this role. Our exceptional science facilities reflect our dedication to excellence in science teaching and learning.
An in-house scheme that follows the UK National Curriculum science is taught in forms 1 and 2 (Y7 and 8) and pupils begin their IGCSE studies in Form 3 (Y9) where they are taught as separate sciences. Science is an exceptionally strong subject in the school, offering IGCSE and IB, with pupils routinely achieving outstanding results in both. Candidates should have experience of teaching general science at KS3 and a specialist science at GCSE/IGCSE and advanced level, such as A-Level or IB Diploma. A specialism in teaching Biology is preferred but not required. The ability to teach an additional subject would be an advantage. All teaching must be done in English.
Start is expected to be August 2026.

“It only took a matter of months for me to fall in love with Brazil: the warmth of its people; their optimism and zest for life; their willingness to help strangers and their ever-readiness for a party! This, against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty, incredible wildlife and some of the best beaches I have ever seen make Brazil an unrivalled country to call home away from home. More locally, São Paulo is an elating metropolis to live in: I love how diverse it is demographically; how green and leafy it is; the excellent arts and culture options; the food offering is second-to-none and the nightlife is awesome. In all, São Paulo (and Brazil) are the best places to live if you value good people, fun, quality of life and heady adventure.” - Mr Jonathan Tarrant, Second in the English Department in Senior School.
