What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Senior Mobile Anti-Cheat Programmer to join the efforts to protect our games against cheaters and other bad actors. You will be the main responsible individual for the excellence of our anti-cheat efforts on mobile with opportunities to contribute across the board on our anti-cheat work. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing low-level software and a security background. This is an incredible opportunity to create a fun and safe environment for millions of players and positively impact the entire Epic ecosystem.

In this role, you will

• Develop new technologies that identify untrustworthy mobile devices in our games
• Collaborate with programmers, data analysts, and other developers to improve existing safety and security processes
• Monitor and reverse programmer emerging threats to implement appropriate remediations
• Design and implement strategies and tactics to make it harder for attackers to analyze and circumvent our security checks

What we're looking for

• Expert knowledge of operating system concepts, especially as applied in mobile device operating systems
• Expert knowledge of C++ in a game security environment
• Ability to read and understand ARM64 assembly code
• Ability to reverse programmer binaries including mobile packages like IPA and APK files
• Knowledge of software obfuscation techniques
• You are comfortable working with large codebases and can independently write and maintain robust code that will ship across millions of devices
• Knowledge of game cheating techniques
• Technical understanding of mobile device exploitation, security, or root / jailbreak procedures
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine
