The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Key responsibilities include managing Kubernetes clusters, developing automation tools using Python, and ensuring platform performance. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with GitLab CI, GitOps, and strong knowledge of Linux administration.

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability stack, and platform operations. You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable delivery, stability, and scalability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Manage and evolve our GitOps workflows using FluxCD for Kubernetes deployments.
• Maintain and enhance our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring reliability, security and scalability.
• Develop automation tools and services using Python.
• Manage and support a wide range of open-source services.
• Administer and secure secrets management using HashiCorp Vault.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise platform performance and reliability.
• Work across teams to enhance observability, logging, and monitoring frameworks.
• Manage and maintain Linux-based environments and infrastructure.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and support connectivity-related issues.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices and automation-first culture.

Core Technical Skills

• Proven track record with GitLab CI for CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tooling, ideally FluxCD.
• Solid understanding and operational experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Scripting experience with Python.
• Experience with open-source services such as Elastic stack, Prometheus & Alertmanager, Fluentd, Kafka, Consul.
• Experience with Hashicorp Vault (policies, secrets engines, authentication methods).
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and container lifecycle management.
• Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues (DNS, routing, firewall basics, TCP/IP) would be a positive.
