About the Role

The Senior Behavioral Care Manager oversees the full lifecycle of care coordination for members in our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP), ensuring that each member and their family has a seamless, supportive, and effective treatment experience from admission through discharge. This includes screening and qualifying prospective members for program eligibility, conducting clinical outreach to families, and onboarding new members. You will also manage case coordination, facilitate communication across multidisciplinary teams, and support members and caregivers throughout their VIOP journey.

Work Schedule

Monday‑Friday 2pm‑11pm ET (11am‑8pm PT).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical outreach to families to provide education about VIOP services
  • Screen and assess prospective members for eligibility in the VIOP, ensuring clinical appropriateness for the intensive level of care
  • Guide families through the admissions process, addressing questions about programming, insurance, financial responsibilities, and expectations
  • Ensure timely scheduling of intake assessments once members are qualified for VIOP enrollment
  • Orient members and their families to the VIOP program, including group schedules, program expectations, technology setup, and available services
  • Coordinate care schedules including group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and psychiatric services, ensuring smooth scheduling and participation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members and families, offering regular updates and proactive case management
  • Coordinate external case management needs with schools, Primary Care Providers (PCPs), and community resources
  • Assist with discharge planning and transition to lower levels of care or additional services, collaborating with internal and external teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring adherence to organizational, regulatory, and compliance standards
  • Engage in regular staffing meetings with multidisciplinary care team to review member’s progress and support effective coordination of care
  • Act as a liaison between families, the VIOP treatment team, and external providers to ensure coordinated, wraparound care
  • Collaborate with internal teams to proactively identify and address barriers to care, optimizing the member experience
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for members entering the VIOP, gathering relevant clinical, psychosocial, and family information
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team, ensuring alignment with treatment goals and insurance requirements
  • Support group facilitators by managing member needs during sessions, including conducting real‑time risk assessments if indicated
  • Provide clinical session coverage as needed
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and Association Registration (or state equivalent)
  • Experience working in intensive outpatient programs or high acuity behavioral health settings within a multidisciplinary team preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations, including families
  • Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
  • Skilled in case management, care coordination, and collaborative care delivery
  • Organized and excited by a dynamic environment
  • Passionate about helping kids and teens achieve goals
  • Ability to work full‑time, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Candidates must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment for this role
  • Full‑time resident of the United States
  • Additional language skills are beneficial to this role

$65,000 - $70,000 a year. The anticipated base salary range for a full‑time Senior Behavioral Care Manager is $65,000 - $70,000 annually. The pay is determined by role and placement within the range, and will depend on a number of job‑related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, and location.
