We're a fast-growing global team of passionate professionals, and we're now looking for a Sales Development Representative based in Brazil, Mexico or in another country in Latin America to support our expansion in the region. This role is key to accelerating our growth across Latin America by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, highly motivated, and familiar with the business culture and dynamics across key LATAM markets such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify and research potential customers through inbound channels. Qualify leads to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile.
  • Market Expansion: Execute region-specific strategies to grow Wati’s footprint in LATAM, contributing directly to sales pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Communicate with prospects via email, phone, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings to understand their needs and educate them on Wati’s value proposition.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to hand off qualified leads, provide market insights, and optimize campaigns.
  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate lead and opportunity records in the CRM system and share regular updates with the regional team.
  • Experimentation & Feedback: Test new outreach tactics, gather market feedback, and help shape go-to-market messaging for the region.
  • 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role—preferably in SaaS or tech.
  • Deep understanding of the LATAM market and experience working with businesses in the region.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish (Comfortable with intermediate-level English for internal communication)
  • Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or other CRMs.
  • Background as a SDR/AE in SaaS with a focus on conversational marketing is a bonus.
  • Consultative sales mindset, resilience in handling objections, and curiosity to constantly learn and adapt.
  • Passion for showing how automation and conversational experiences via WhatsApp can transform customer engagement for SMBs and enterprises.
