What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Lead a team to generate sales revenue by promoting the employer's products and services to targeted accounts
- Provide coaching and training to sales representatives on selling strategies
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members
- Maintain and strengthen existing business relationships with customers
- Track and analyze sales performance and report on activities using CRM tools
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience selling into State, Local, and Education (SLED) accounts
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading successful sales teams
- Strong financial acumen and demonstrated success in achieving sales goals
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Understanding of industry trends, cloud connectivity solutions, and infrastructure as a service
- Experience selling dark fiber and wavelength solutions
- Ability to present to executive-level audiences and build confidence with senior decision-makers
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
