This role requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management and at least three years of leadership experience in logistics. Proficiency in SAP and fluency in Portuguese and English are essential, along with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

1.Team Leadership and Management
• Lead and supervise the logistics and Imports/Exports teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient execution of all logistics activities.
• Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.
2. Shipment and Freight Coordination
• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, including freight coordination, to meet production and customer demand.
• Coordinate the international shipments coming from all regions to Latin America and keep communication with Service Suppliers in order to track the orders and maintain service levels.
3. Warehouse and Plant Operations
• Manage warehouse and plant logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes while monitoring and controlling distribution costs.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration and Project Management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Coordinate Supply Chain projects and/or lead Logistics team members to manage the initiatives within the LAR region. Work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met, which includes (but is not limited to):
o New Resale Operations: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the feasibility and implementation of new resale operations, ensuring efficient supply chain processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.

o Transportation Mode Expansion: Explore and evaluate the introduction of alternative transportation modes, such as cabotage, to optimize logistics routes and reduce costs.
o Warehouses: Support the establishment and management of warehouses, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient storage and distribution of goods.
o Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships that align with our logistics and supply chain growth objectives.
o Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks associated with new business development initiatives and propose mitigation strategies.
o Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and documentation are obtained and maintained for new operations, and ensure compliance with regional and international regulations.
5. Compliance & Safety
• Manage the Imports/Exports team responsible for international trade processes, including customs clearance, transportation and documentation.
• Collaborate with external brokers to ensure accurate and timely submission of customs documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards in logistics activities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely information.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Solid experience in logistics and/or other areas of Supply Chain, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
Knowledge of customs regulations as well as all aspects related to logistics operations, such as transportation, distribution, and warehousing.
Proven experience in global logistics operations, customs trade, or international supply chain management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal teams, external partners, and government authorities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, for logistics and trade management.
Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy in documentation and processes.
Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Certifications in management systems such as Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), ISO 9001, Lean Management, APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
Fluency in both Portuguese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
