Senior Kotlin Engineer (LATAM) – Remote Latino Legends is hiring on behalf of one of our U.S.-based clients—a fast-growing, mission-driven fintech organization that is transforming the digital lending space. This company is well-funded, operates fully remote, and has already helped borrowers refinance over $6B in loans. They are now expanding their engineering team across LATAM to continue scaling their platform and impact.

• Role: Senior Kotlin Developer
• Type: Full-time, Remote (LATAM only)
• Seniority: 6+ years of software development; 2+ years working professionally with Kotlin
• English: Advanced / Fluent (fully English-speaking environment)
• Salary Range: USD $5,000–$7,000 / month

As a Senior Kotlin Developer, you'll take full ownership of features from concept to production, working closely with engineering, product, and design. What You'll Do

• Own project outcomes end-to-end—from architecture to deployment
• Build and scale APIs that power core product functionality
• Improve system architecture, performance, and reliability
• Write clean, well-tested code within robust CI / CD pipelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers
• Mentor engineers and help elevate technical standards
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to system stability
• Engage actively in a transparent, remote-first team culture

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years building production systems with Kotlin
• Strong expertise in JVM-based languages and functional programming
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Background in service-oriented and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI / CD tooling
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• A mindset focused on accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, startup-like environments
