Qualificações

Job Summary

As a Java Backend Developer, you will make a significant contribution to enterprise application development, system architecture, and software reliability by collaborating closely with cross-functional development teams. The Java Backend developer evaluates emerging technologies, promotes process improvements, and shapes standards and best practices while providing expert guidance to project teams across the organization. This role plays a fundamental role in driving the adoption of modern Java frameworks and tools in collaboration with software engineering, architecture, and operations teams, building and maintaining robust multi-module enterprise applications that deliver high performance and scalability.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Development of new features and maintenance of existing Java applications;
• Raise and discuss trade-offs of different design approaches elaborating detailed design documents;
• Participation in the complete cycle of development from requirements gathering to development and testing;

Perform code reviews and maintain code quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with object-oriented software development in Java;
• Experience with Spring Framework;
• Experience with modeling, producing and consuming web services based APIs (RESTful or SOAP based);
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;

Extensive experience with Hibernate / JPA for ORM.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito);

JVM tuning and performance optimization skills.
