Overview
We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure Administrator to join our team Platform Operations team in Brazil (REMOTE)! In this role, you’ll be responsible for deploying and configuring infrastructure components, monitoring and troubleshooting systems to maintain optimal performance, as well as monitoring our cloud platform to support evolving business needs. Your work will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of Hyland Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Respond to platform-related requests, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems using best practices with guidance from senior team members.
- Assist in deploying and configuring infrastructure components, including servers and virtualization platforms.
- Support projects involving installations, upgrades, and modernization of servers and systems.
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure systems related to servers, storage, networking, databases, directory services, and virtualization.
- Participate in audits to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Collaborate with database, network, storage, and cloud teams to deliver solutions.
- Create clear internal documentation of processes and system configurations under team guidance.
- Contribute ideas to improve internal efficiency and stay informed about best practices and market trends.
- Participate in maintenance, testing, and execution of the disaster recovery plan.
- Identify opportunities for new technology proposals to enhance infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications
- Basic experience in systems administration or infrastructure support.
- Fluent in English.
- Hands-on experience with large deployment virtualization technology (VMware preferred).
- Functional proficiency of public cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Linux systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Dynatrace) and ticketing systems (Cadalys).
- Knowledge of Cisco hardware is desirable.
- Understanding of networking, storage, or database fundamentals.
- Strong customer service orientation and collaborative mindset.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established standards.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to produce concise, logical, and grammatically correct documentation.
- Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends etc.) See note below for more details.
- High School Diploma OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.
- Up to 10% travel time required.
NOTE: This role includes participation in an on-call rotation approximately every 6 weeks. During your on-call week, you would be the primary contact for any urgent issues or Priority 1 incidents, which typically occur outside normal business hours (mostly weekends). These incidents are rare, but availability during that week is essential.
