Job Description :

Human Resources Manager

Huntsman is seeking a Human Resources Manager supporting the ADMAT / HPP / SS Human Resources Division located in Brazil.

This position will report to the Regional HR Partner - ADMAT.

Responsibilities
  • Implement plans/actions in alignment with Global and Regional HR initiatives, policies, and procedures to support the businesses and associates in Brazil.
  • Provide clear HR strategy for Brazil and ensure its alignment to the business strategy and priorities.
  • Serve as HR Business Partner for ADMAT, HPP, and Shared Services in Brazil by supporting the business objectives.
  • Support the divisional and shared services leadership in Brazil handling the people‑related issues that arise, as well as determining the best solutions in HR practices to balance associate interests and company requirements.
  • Provide functional leadership/direction to the Brazil HR team regarding topics such as Change Management, Talent Bank, Performance Management, Benefits, Pension Fund, Compensation & Salary Administration (including bonus programs), Labor Relations, etc.
  • Effectively manage costs and people‑related expenses such as personnel & benefits expenses, travel expenses, etc.
  • Prepare and monitor the HR budget.
  • Participate as needed in negotiations with service providers and vendors.
  • Monitor HR best practices and implement them as feasible and in accordance with Huntsman practices.
  • Be knowledgeable and up to date on all local and federal labor legislation, as well as market practices in Brazil.
  • Maintain the employee database locally and ensure data privacy and accuracy in Workday.
  • Develop the HR team (including myself) participating in company‑provided and external training as available.
  • Act as a member of the Brazil leadership team and actively participate in meetings and strategy discussions to help align the people strategy and business strategy.
  • Actively participate in labor contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with union leaders and strive to ensure a collaborative approach in supporting the needs of the workforce.
  • Support and help drive engagement and a positive culture at the site.
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract, retain and develop talent including succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Actively participate in Americas HR leadership team meetings and support others on the team as needed.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary and termination actions, while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Strive to ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements as it pertains to EHS, Quality programs, employment regulations, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant degree, with specialization in HR preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years in HR Management as an HR generalist.
  • HR certification preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Fluent English and Portuguese; Spanish desirable.
