About the group

Our research group welcomes anyone interested in developing projects using any appropriate method for studying biodiversity. Our group comprises ~20 post-doctoral and postgraduate students working on various projects that primarily use molecular tools (genomics and metabarcoding) and bioinformatics (including modeling) to address ecological and evolutionary questions. Our current projects span many different taxonomic groups and habitats: marine, freshwater and terrestrial. We are an open and inclusive lab that fosters interdisciplinary collaborative research at all levels and encourages career development beyond academia through links to the private sector. We have left an open deadline for multiple applications for the yearly call, but those interested should make contact as soon as possible to develop project ideas and verify feasibility given the existing laboratory work schedule.

Responsibilities and activities

• Engage in projects using molecular tools (genomics and metabarcoding) and bioinformatics (including modeling) to address ecological and evolutionary questions.
• Work on projects spanning marine, freshwater and terrestrial habitats and various taxonomic groups.
• Collaborate in an open and inclusive lab that fosters interdisciplinary research and supports career development beyond academia through links to the private sector.
• Respond to the yearly call with an open deadline; interested individuals should contact the group to develop project ideas and verify feasibility with the laboratory schedule.
