Job Purpose
A Designer on the Content & Engagement team is a skilled strategic thinker who is responsible for crafting highly branded and conversion-optimized creative across the divisions of Carnegie.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with team leaders and colleagues across Carnegie to optimize the team’s efficiency and effectiveness by identifying possible improvements to workflow, and scheduling
- Champion project collaboration, working to motivate team members and ensure smooth and proactive interactions and processes
- Design Development
- Formulate clear and thoughtful content strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Move design strategies to action, creating high-quality, highly branded, cohesive design constructs across communication channels (print, web, social, video, etc.) that tell a compelling story
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture that champions client success
- Cross-Divisional Strategy
- Facilitate knowledge sharing as necessary to ensure that campaign strategy is understood.
- Be well-versed in translating performance metrics into actionable takeaways
- Represent content decisions on client discovery and presentation calls with clarity, confidence, and professionalism
- Analyze conversion metrics to understand what resonates with audiences and drive content iteration
- Contribute to innovations and improvements in client-facing products and services as well as internal processes
- Foster a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving by staying up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing best practices
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent organizational and highly developed collaboration, problem-solving, and project management skills to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a large client portfolio
- Ability to think outside the box to develop bold and innovative storytelling strategies while developing differentiated, compelling, and original creative work
- Public speaking skills for high levels of client interaction and ability to listen carefully and navigate organizational politics
- Consistent ability to critically evaluate the quality of creative work and guide revisions while coaching the best creative work from colleagues and direct reports
- Thorough knowledge of creative tools, including Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Office
- Competency in prompt engineering and utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT and Generative AI, throughout the creative process
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
- Thorough knowledge of print and digital communication development to effectively work across media

Credentials and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field
- 3 or more years of professional graphic design experience
- Robust portfolio of design samples and case studies that demonstrate measurable success
