5+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large scale services, and at least 2 years building strong, successful technical teams

  • Experience in managing Data Center IT Infrastructure remotely is a big plus

We require a strong strategic and technical minded individual with a passion for devising innovative concepts and strategies that will take our Operations to the next level.

We are looking for a leader who can collaborate, lead and mentor an organization of skilled Field Technicians.

A day in the life

As an Global Field Operations Command Center (GFOCC) Tech Manager in A100 ROW Servicos De Dados BRA - B71, you will get to manage the GFO infrastructure remotely.

We encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, being a technical manager means that you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role.

  • Your day job will include (but not limited to)
  • Managing and developing an organization of skilled managers and technicians, providing both tactical and strategic expertise and ensuring the highest levels of performance
  • Constantly striving for improvement on all our processes and procedures (We believe there is nothing we cannot improve)
  • Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors
  • Liaising with internal teams & management groups
  • Ensuring adherence by audits that we exceed local Health & Safety standards in our GFO Infrastructure facilities
  • Never ceasing to drive performance through metric creation, improvement and adherence of all aspects of our operations and utilizing those metrics to drive positive improvements
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, regional peers and stakeholders on strategically planning future growth for the coming 1 to 2 years
  • Develop, mentor and train the leadership of the future, to ensure success at scale
  • Challenge and improve on accepted documentation and practices to not only meet but exceed industry best practices
  • Ability to manage a geographic region, remote from your direct manager
  • Own and refine the service methodologies such as incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
  • Expertise in one or more continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Vendor management of colocation Data Center services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA's
  • Safety, security, and availability incident response
  • Technical writing experience
  • Prior project management experience
