About the Role

This is a senior-level leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, project management, and team management for a fast-growing online education company. The General Manager/Chief of Staff will partner closely with the founder to implement the company’s strategic vision, drive operational excellence, and build a high-performing team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of the business.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage all ongoing projects and initiatives ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met across the organization
  • Oversee a team of 9-10 full-time employees and 10 contractors providing coaching, performance management, and professional development
  • Lead the hiring process for new roles including sourcing, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations
  • Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members to address concerns, provide feedback, and support their growth
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the founder, analyzing business performance, identifying opportunities, and recommending data-driven solutions
  • Manage the company’s tech stack including HubSpot and Slack to drive efficiency and visibility across the organization
  • Develop and implement processes and systems to increase accountability, transparency, and operational excellence
Requirements
  • 7 years of experience in a general management, chief of staff, or similar senior leadership role, preferably in an education SaaS or digital marketing environment
  • Proven track record of scaling a growing business, building high-performing teams, and driving operational improvements
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively liaise with both internal teams and external partners
  • Familiarity with education technology, online course creation, and digital marketing best practices
  • Proficient in using business intelligence tools, CRMs (e.g., HubSpot), and project management software
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
