Overview
We’re looking for a hybrid Developer / Designer who can build modern, scalable web experiences using TypeScript, Next.js, Node and related technologies, while also producing polished, on-brand UI / UX in Figma. This role blends engineering, design, and AI-assised development. The ideal candidate moves quickly, takes initiative, and delivers exceptional quality with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
Full-Stack Web Development
- Build and maintain headless websites and applications using Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Implement responsive, performant, and accessible front-end interfaces aligned with design specs.
- Develop backend functionality, APIs, serverless functions, and integrations.
- Ensure high standards for code quality, testing, maintainability, and documentation.
- Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex / Copilot) to accelerate coding workflows and improve output quality.
- Identify architectural improvements, technical optimizations, and opportunities for automation.
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and product teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Web Design / UI & UX
- Create polished, intuitive, on-brand designs and prototypes in Figma.
- Maintain and evolve design systems, component libraries, and visual standards.
- Translate brand guidelines into consistent layouts, UI patterns, and interactions.
- Conduct UX improvements across flows, navigation, content structure, and responsiveness.
- Deliver clear handoff files, annotations, and design documentation to ensure smooth implementation.
- Contribute to concept development, ideation, and early-stage visual direction.
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience building headless websites or modern web apps, preferably with Next.js.
- Hands‑on experience with headless CMSs (Contentful, Prismic, Sanity, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with React, Tailwind, Node.js, and modern JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Demonstrated UI / UX ability with a portfolio of Figma designs.
- Experience creating or managing reusable design systems.
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex / Copilot).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with asynchronous collaboration.
- Must have at least 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time (8 AM–12 PM PT).
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Webflow.
- Experience with Prismic CMS.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with CI / CD tools.
- Experience with the HubSpot API.
- Experience maintaining design systems in Figma.
- Experience building API integrations.
