As a Quality Control Specialist, you will coordinate and oversee work at a field site, providing quality service to the customer. Your role may include sales, job design, execution, and follow-up activities. You will plan the job, including instructions to the crew and equipment used. You will coordinate and direct the activities of service operators, oversee equipment cleanup, repair, and preparation for the next job.

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing minor/major maintenance of equipment following the Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
  • Being the primary contact to work with the Customer Representative and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
  • Providing records of all activities at the Customer Site to the Baker Hughes TPS Supervisor and maintaining good team relations.
  • Executing all responsibilities safely by following all applicable processes and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as required within the scope of work.
  • Providing limited troubleshooting on equipment under maintenance or installation in the field.
  • Conducting all activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).


Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have experience in the quality sector within the industry.
  • Have engineering or technical training in mechanics, mechatronics, or electromechanics.
  • Possess CREA or CFT certifications.
  • Be capable of working under pressure with clear thinking and decisiveness. Be a team player.
  • Be willing and able to work on Field Service outages 70-80% of the time, with frequent worldwide travel, including on-shore and off-shore sites.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Be a leader with excellent listening, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Be able to work effectively with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Have advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn specialized BH applications and project management software like Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.


Desired

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with TMS equipment.
  • Experience with Baker Hughes equipment, including scope of site operation, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Knowledge of Nuovo Pignone or Thermodyn CECO.
  • Knowledge of LM2500 turbines.
