A leading financial institution in São Paulo is seeking a Documentation Negotiator to draft and negotiate legal trading documents, with a strong focus on ISDA and repo trading agreements. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and fluency in English and Portuguese. You will engage with various teams within the organization as well as clients, ensuring timely negotiations and adherence to policies. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Law Degree preferred.

Qualificações

  • 1–3 years' experience in negotiating trading documentation, particularly ISDA Master and repo agreements.
  • Proficiency in negotiation of trading agreements required.

Documentation Negotiator Position

Description

The FID Institutional Securities Documentation team is currently looking for documentation negotiators with an emphasis on ISDA and repo trading agreements. The role involves daily interaction and collaboration with Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Credit Risk, Legal, Operations and other ISG stakeholders, as well as daily and direct engagement with clients and their counsel.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Drafting and negotiating legal trading documentation (including master agreements, credit support documents, amendments and ancillary documents) across a broad spectrum of financial products.
  • Focus on ISDA Master Agreements and associated documents, CGD, ISDAMex and repurchase agreements, including documentation required for mandated sponsored clearing.
  • Point person for active book of client negotiations, including daily interactions with internal stakeholders, clients and outside counsel.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders in Sales & Trading, Credit Risk, Risk Management, Legal, Operations and other internal stakeholders regarding documentation terms, escalations and prioritization.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Identify necessary documentation for the clients to trade securities or OTC derivatives and perform related due diligence scans.
  • Handle client negotiations and related projects to ensure timely execution and completion.
  • Communicate with clients and external counsel.

  • Fluent English and Portuguese, and comfortable speaking Spanish.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years’ experience (investment bank, law firm) negotiating trading documentation, with an emphasis on ISDA Master, repo, CDG.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proficiency with the negotiation of these trading agreements.
Technical and Professional Qualifications and Accreditations
  • Bachelor’s Degree (required).
  • Law Degree (preferred).
