What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide developmental assessments and ongoing support using a routines-based, strengths-focused approach
- Partner with families through collaborative coaching to create individualized strategies for child growth and participation
- Support families in understanding the impact of visual impairment on development and provide guidance on strategies
- Collaborate within the Primary Service Provider (PSP) model and consult with specialists as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in service planning and transition meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience supporting infants and toddlers with developmental delays, preferably in home-based or community settings
- Licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS)
- Willingness to enroll in a TVI or COMS credentialed program within 60 days of hire if not already certified
- Out-of-state TVI license holders must obtain Ohio licenses/certifications within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field
