Overview

A healthcare client is looking for Data Engineers to join their growing team. The team is modernizing on-prem SQL warehouses to Snowflake and building data marts on top of the Snowflake enterprise warehouse. You will lift and shift existing data marts, build new data marts, and support integrations. The data engineering team designs, tests, deploys and maintains data pipelines and establishes a strong data reporting environment. This role operates in an AWS environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines to automate ingestion from APIs, files, and vendor systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL stored procedures, scheduled jobs, and views in the target data platforms.
• Apply data governance and quality checks to ensure dataset accuracy and consistency.
• Document sources, transformations, and dependencies; collaborate with technical staff and SMEs.
• Support data consumers by delivering clean, structured datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams for sustainability post-engagement.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of data engineering experience - building data warehouses and ETL pipelines
• 3+ years of experience with Snowflake Datawarehouse
• Well versed with data marts
• Strong understanding of SQL including: SSIS, SSAS, & SSRS
• Ability to work MST hours

Nice-to-Have

• Experience working within the healthcare industry, provider side highly preferred
• Experience working in an AWS environment
• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
• Experience with Alteryx for data preparation

Contract Details

This is a contracted role with an initial 6-month term and potential for extension based on project needs. The client has a sizable project pipeline that supports long-term extensions.
