The Opportunity

The Content Specialist is an exciting role in ecoPortal’s marketing team, directly contributing to our content strategy. You’ll be part of a team with big aspirations, changing perceptions of health and safety worldwide.

Ideal for someone who has

  • A Bachelors (or higher) Degree in marketing / journalism / communications or similar major.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English fluency.
  • A strong understanding of SEO and CRO copywriting.
  • A flair for story-telling, with the ability to demonstrate technical writing.
  • A passion for writing with an excellent eye for detail, grammar, brand tone and style.
  • Experience in marketing in a tech and / or SaaS company is an advantage.
  • An understanding of the buyer journey and how best to capture people's interest at each stage.
  • Experience in managing Podcasts, Webinars and live content events.
  • The ability to meet deadlines, be a self-starter and have a can-do attitude.
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regularly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of the company’s content strategy, with the aim of educating, engaging, entertaining and empowering people across the company’s full customer lifecycle.
  • Be a driving force behind the execution of a broad range of top-notch content including ad campaigns, web copy, email marketing, blogs, case studies, webinars, event collateral, videos and more.
  • Planning webinar and podcast series and managing all production aspects, from prospecting and inviting potential speakers to writing briefings and scripts and supporting the recording or live delivery.
  • Creation of compelling monthly and quarterly newsletters, with ongoing performance tracking and a focus on finding new ways to improve engagement.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of what’s front of mind for professionals in the world of health and safety and use that to input on content and campaign idea generation.
  • Support the Sales and Success teams by creating targeted collateral, emails, social posts and case studies to drive conversions and upsell opportunities.
  • Support the company’s SEO initiatives, scope and create content that helps the company get found via organic traffic.
  • Contribute to ecoPortal’s content strategy and execution.
  • Take a campaign approach to content development. Implement SEO best practices, test, and iterate your content and creative processes with the aim of increasing ecoPortal’s reach, generating demand, and converting prospects to customers.
  • Support other team-wide initiatives with targeted collateral (i.e. web, email) that leverages strong storytelling to get key ecoPortal messages across in inspiring and unique ways.
  • Keep your work in Trello and the content calendar up-to-date and set up other administrative processes as required.
  • Closely monitor new content trends, and proactively seek creative opportunities where these can be best utilised at the company.
  • Own and manage our content partnership relationships, agreements and event partner content.
  • Collaborate with other Creative Team members, including Graphic Designers, Video Specialists, as well as members of the Digital Marketing Team.
  • Contribute to brand and content reporting as required.
  • Support the Content Marketing Manager and wider marketing team in other areas of the business that align with your skillset as required.
