About the job

The Cloud Managed Services – Platform Administration team is seeking a SAS Administrator to help support and operate SAS environments for corporate customers. You will work alongside experienced engineers and administrators, learning how to manage complex SAS Viya and SAS 9.4 platforms in cloud and on-premises environments. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical skills and career in data, analytics, and cloud infrastructure.

As a Cloud Platform Administrator, you will:

• Administer SAS Viya and SAS 9.4 environments in both cloud and on-premises settings.
• Perform configuration, patching, and upgrades of SAS platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance (Linux, Kubernetes, CAS, Grid).
• Learn to apply security, access control, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with global teams to document processes and share best practices.
• Participate in continuous learning on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and automation tools.
• Be encouraged to participate in open source projects on behalf of SAS.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Desired knowledge in Linux, Kubernetes, containers, and databases (Oracle/SQL Server/Postgres). Experience with infrastructure support, SAS programming, and SAS application support.
• Interest in SAS, cloud computing, containers, and automation.
• Technical proficiency in English and Spanish for reading and communication with global teams.
• Willingness to learn and grow in SAS platform administration.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills

• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or Ansible).
• Familiarity with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Curiosity about data analytics platforms or enterprise applications.
• SAS or Cloud certification (completed or in progress) is a plus.
