We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist/Data Analyst with strong expertise in data insights, statistical analysis, and a good understanding of machine-learning algorithms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, data scientists, and software engineers to translate business requirements into actionable analytical solutions and drive data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities and assignments

• Advanced proficiency in English and Portuguese (written and verbal).
• Strong data insights and analytical skills, including the ability to process, interpret, and derive value from large and complex datasets.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret model outputs, logs, and metadata for performance evaluation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of machine learning models and algorithms for real-world applications.
• Strong foundation in statistics, including probability, hypothesis testing, regression methods, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts for querying and aggregating large datasets.

Requirements and qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Statistical Knowledge: Hypothesis testing, regression techniques, probability theory, and experimental design.
• Machine Learning Expertise: Understanding of supervised and unsupervised algorithms.
• Programming Proficiency: Good command of Python and familiarity with ML libraries.
• Data Processing & Insight Generation: Strong SQL querying abilities, Proficiency in Python Data Libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and Advanced Excel proficiency for large data manipulation and analysis.
• Data Visualization: Ability to create clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations to translate complex analytical and statistical outputs into executive-friendly slides.

Soft Skills

• High degree of autonomy and independence, with the ability to drive analytical workstreams end-to-end.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, estimation, and execution.
• Effective communication skills, able to convey complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (open to any degree with relevant experience).
• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Analytics projects.
