What you will do
  • Responsible for sales of rental related products sales activity for the designated coverage territory, field sales operations, sales forecasting on all customer accounts, customer service, NPI, pricing, marketing & promotion, warranty support, applications, long term strategy, functional specification, S & Op process, market research, distributor appointment, training and development. Accountable for Worldwide Cat Dealer training on product and liaison with the sales director to maximize sales.
  • This role is described as a working supervisor. Will lead the LATAM sales team, reporting to the Americas Sales Director and will keep territory direct responsibility of Mexico.
  • Understanding of customer / dealer markets and develops appropriate programs to support product lines across market segments with multiple brands.
  • Applies product & industry knowledge in support of Cat, dealer & customer expectations in both the short term and long-term horizons.
  • Implements and delivers on global Cat rental team dealer and market strategy.
  • Influences Caterpillar’s senior management to implement policies, marketing/sales programs, NPI programs and the hire of personnel.
  • Manages the work of the department consisting of regional sales team / professional employees where monitoring & reviewing work of subordinates is required as well as training, developing and mentoring.
  • Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports.
What You Have - Skills
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience: Previous commercial and leadership experience.
  • Language: Advanced English required.
  • Travel: This position requires extensive availability to travel internationally (75% of the time).
  • Other: Portuguese desirable, Prior rental business experience.

Note: This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week.
