It is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Senior Buyer – Technical Procurement to join the resort’s Procurement team.

The Primary Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role Include:

• Negotiating favourable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Building, maintaining, and nurturing relationships with suppliers to establish long-term partnerships, ensuring reliability, performance, and competitive pricing.
• Applying Corporate Governance protocols in accordance with Wynn internal policies and statutory requirements.
• Conducting market research to source components, engineering and building materials, machine spares, tools, and building services, and engineering capital plant. Identifying, evaluating, and registering potential suppliers.
• Managing the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with technical specifications, and adherence to company policies. Monitoring supplier performance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborating with Engineering and Facilities teams to ensure purchased materials meet quality metrics and operational requirements.
• Developing and managing procurement budgets, tracking expenditure, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs, optimize inventory levels, and minimize dead stock.
• Assessing and implementing measures to mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, long lead times, market price fluctuations, and quality issues.
• Engaging with stakeholders across Engineering and Facilities Departments, as well as suppliers, vendors, and contractors, serving as the point of contact for technical and sourcing queries.
• Fostering good relationships with suppliers, vendors, and end-users to ensure effective communication.
• Ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods, materials, and supplies.

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Procurement within Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection Construction, or Building Services.
• Proven experience in sourcing construction, engineering, or manufacturing products and materials.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supply chain engagement skills.
• Deep knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, corporate governance, and supplier relationship management in a technical role.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline Building Services, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and markets related to procurement of facilities operation and maintenance materials and equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or MEP Quantity Surveying.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
