- Must have a valid state license to practice as a Pharmacist
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medicines, their uses, dosage forms, interactions and side effects
- Ability to accurately interpret prescription orders, maintain records accurately consistent with state laws and regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with customers, physicians, staff members and other healthcare professionals in a professional manner
- Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors or other health practitioners
- Monitor patient drug therapies by reviewing patient profiles for accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient medication profiles by updating information as needed
- Dispense correct dosage amounts of medication following instructions on prescriptions labels
- Provide patients with counseling on the use of their medication including possible side effects
- Ensure compliance with local laws governing the sale of pharmaceuticals
