The Plumber is responsible for installing and repairing piping systems and fixtures to ensure the safe and efficient distribution of water, gas, and waste. The role requires technical knowledge of plumbing systems, problem-solving skills, and strict adherence to safety standards and building codes.
Install pipes and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, bathtubs, and water heaters
Connect water supply and drainage systems
Install and test pipe systems and other plumbing components
Fit appliances like dishwashers and washing machines
Identify and repair leaks or blockages in pipes or plumbing fixtures
Replace worn or damaged parts (e.g., valves, taps, washers)
Maintain water pressure systems and hot water units
Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing system issues
Requirements
Knowledge of plumbing systems and tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Manual dexterity and physical strength
Problem-solving and critical thinking
Basic math and measurement skills
Knowledge of safety and local plumbing codes
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational training or apprenticeship in plumbing
