We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Workshop Manager to oversee operations in our steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day shop activities, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, team leadership, and on-time project delivery.
- Lead and supervise daily operations of the steel fabrication workshop.
- Plan and allocate manpower, tools, and materials as per production schedules.
- Ensure timely fabrication and delivery of structural steel, piping, and pressure vessel components.
- Coordinate with Project QA/QC, Planning, and Procurement teams to meet deadlines.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
- Review technical drawings and ensure production meets specified standards.
- Monitor machine maintenance and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper usage of materials to avoid wastage.
- Mentor and train workshop personnel to maintain high skill and performance levels.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in steel fabrication and workshop management.
- Proven experience in managing fabrication teams and production workflows.
- Strong technical understanding of structural steel, welding processes, and fabrication machinery.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and fabrication codes.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and fabrication standards.
