Job Description: Application Support Analyst (Healthcare Domain)

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Application Support Analyst with 2–4 years of experience in the healthcare industry. The role involves requirement gathering, documentation, user support, training, and coordination between business users and the IT department. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, the ability to track and follow up on issues, and a strong understanding of healthcare workflows and business applications.

• End-User Support & Training: Provide first-line support to end-users for business applications used in healthcare operations.
• Address and resolve queries, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex problems to the IT team when required.
• Conduct end-user training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of applications and new features.
• Develop user guides, training materials, and FAQs for business applications.
• Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements for enhancements and new features.
• Document requirements, workflows, and change requests in a clear and structured manner.
• Prepare detailed reports, process documentation, and maintain a knowledge base of recurring issues.
• Coordination & Communication: Act as a bridge between end-users and the IT department, ensuring proper communication and timely resolution of issues.
• Track, monitor, and follow up on open requests and ensure SLA adherence.
• Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and business units for implementation, upgrades, and support activities.
• Attend regular meetings with stakeholders, prepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM), and follow up on agreed action points.
• Application Monitoring & Process Improvement: Monitor business applications to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist in system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and rollout of new features or upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of healthcare operations through application optimization.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong knowledge of healthcare business applications (HIS, EMR, LIS, Pharmacy, HR, or related systems).
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, and process mapping.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, incident tracking, and escalation workflows.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or reporting tools is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with doctors, nurses, admin staff, and IT teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow up on pending issues to closure.
• Attention to detail with good organizational and documentation skills.
