Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Dubai seeks a Trader to manage trading operations for high net worth and institutional clients. Role Purpose

Carry out trading instructions from ADIB Securities UAE/US/KSA trading clients ethically and efficiently. Increase sales opportunity of the organization through better customer relationship. Maintain client relationships with Retail High Net worth and Institutional customers in conformance with established policies strategies and procedures. Cross sell within bank departments in coordination with respective colleagues to promote ADIBS US trading capabilities. Liaise with team members to better serve our clients interest.

Key Accountabilities

These are the main responsibilities of this role

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage clients orders during trading sessions in local and international markets in compliance with regulatory and stock exchanges governing rules.
  • Actively introduce new clients through calls and meetings.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns.
  • Manage client relations as instructed by reporting manager.
  • Adhere with the operational procedures/policies of ADIB and ADIB Securities.
  • Keep track on new trading rules and regulations and increase the knowledge about the industry.
  • Ensure that the framework always in compliance with the related rules and regulations including client onboarding documents and clients KYC.
  • All the time be in compliance with the AML/CTF rules and regulations.
  • Keep abreast regulations of DFM ADX SEC CMA and SCA.
  • Promote new business through customer contacts. Call existing customers and prospective customers to nurture on going relationships.
  • Assist team leaders in day to day tasks
  • Monitor the market commission structures analyze competitions and make recommendations to increase trading income.
  • Represent the organization in a professional manner at various forums. Actively promote the organization wherever possible.

  • Ensure that the customer satisfaction and ensure all customer grievances are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all customer instructions are responded to immediately.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage all significant risks (Financial Operational Market and Reputational Risks). Monitor customer accounts ensuring settlements of deals as per market control norms.
  • Actively follow-up on overdue settlement trades and effect action within the rules of the market control.
  • Ensure all correspondence with the Market Control customers others are properly recorded and filed.
  • Manage time and work-related duties efficiently
  • Maintain high ethical standards and contribute towards a healthy work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks and functions in accordance with ADIB and ADIB Securities practices and policies for brokers including:
  • Identify and help to satisfy the training requirements of the employees in close coordination with the Head of the desk/Trading Manager.
  • Emphasize and promote professional and ethical conduct.
Authority Given
  • Initially incumbent will not be given expense power however will be given approval powers based on his/her level of management experience and brokerage expertise.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role
  • Bachelors degree required:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years direct and progressive experience in UAE/US/KSA equity trading and management of a trading desk. Trading and advisory experience in US equity markets.
  • Required to work in US trading hours (Evening in UAE time)
  • Strong time-management and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years markets experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Skills and relevant investment databases.
