We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician for one of our construction companies in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Installations:
   • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, lighting systems, and electrical appliances.
   • Work with a variety of electrical systems, including high and low voltage installations, power outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
   • Ensure installations meet local, national, and international safety standards and codes.
2. Maintenance and Repair:
   • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
   • Troubleshoot electrical faults using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
   • Repair or replace faulty electrical wiring, switches, circuit boards, fuses, and other components.
   • Ensure minimal downtime during maintenance and repairs to avoid interruptions to services or operations.
3. Electrical System Upgrades:
   • Install new electrical systems or upgrade existing ones to improve energy efficiency, performance, and compliance with modern regulations.
   • Modify existing circuits or install additional outlets, switches, or panels when required by clients.
4. Compliance and Safety:
   • Adhere to safety standards and regulations when working with electrical systems to ensure the safety of self, co-workers, and clients.
   • Install and maintain safety systems, such as circuit breakers, surge protectors, and grounding systems.
   • Conduct safety inspections and ensure that electrical systems are compliant with building codes and health and safety regulations.
5. Blueprints and Technical Diagrams:
   • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to plan electrical installations and modifications.
   • Assist in designing electrical systems for new construction projects or renovations.
6. Customer Service:
   • Communicate clearly with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide cost-effective solutions.
   • Provide expert advice on electrical system maintenance and energy-saving solutions.
   • Explain the work being carried out to clients, providing them with transparent information on the process and costs involved.
7. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
   • Quickly identify and resolve electrical faults and issues in both residential and commercial environments.
   • Offer immediate solutions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
8. Collaborating with Other Trades:
   • Work alongside contractors, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure electrical systems are correctly integrated with other construction or renovation elements.
   • Coordinate with team members to ensure the timely completion of electrical projects.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain detailed records of electrical work carried out, including repairs, installations, and inspections.
   • Prepare reports and submit them to supervisors or clients for approval.
   • Keep inventory of electrical supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for use.
10. Workplace Organization and Cleanliness:
    • Ensure all tools and materials are stored safely when not in use.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
    • Dispose of hazardous materials, such as used electrical components, in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
11. Emergency Response:
    • Provide emergency electrical repairs for urgent issues, including power outages or system failures.
    • Respond to emergency calls quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Electrician, with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical work.
• Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience in both residential and commercial electrical systems is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Familiarity with electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.

Skills:

• Proficiency in installing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

Working Conditions:

• Physical demands may include lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
