Job Title: Workshop & Maintenance Coordinator – Waste Management Fleet

Location: UAE

We are seeking a Workshop & Maintenance Coordinator to support the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities for waste collection vehicles, equipment, and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in fleet maintenance and workshop operations, ensuring timely repairs, compliance with safety standards, and smooth communication between technicians, supervisors, and vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily, preventive, and urgent maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure fleet readiness.
  • Maintain accurate job cards, work orders, and equipment history records using ERP/business systems.
  • Liaise with stores and procurement teams to manage spare parts, requisitions, and vendor follow-ups.
  • Track warranty claims and coordinate with OEMs, dealers, and service providers for cost-effective repairs.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between technicians, supervisors, and operations teams.
  • Monitor technician attendance, leave, training, and compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance with municipal and organizational policies.
  • Promote workshop safety, 5S practices, and a culture of operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to KPI monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in fleet maintenance, workshop coordination, or technical operations, preferably in waste management, utilities, or transportation.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and workshop operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP/business systems for maintenance documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with HSE compliance, workshop safety, and vendor/warranty management.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
