Job description

Responsibilities

• Leads infrastructure design development and manages technical specialists to ensure adherence to design criteria standards and project scope.
• Oversees design delivery scope development procurement of consultants and manages third‑party reviews and change orders.
• Prepares project reports, schedules, budgets and monitors progress to meet deadlines and financial requirements.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and provides technical support and audits for project management.
• Assists in client relations scope documentation and attends meetings as needed while ensuring all technical and contractual information is disseminated.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15–20 years of experience in infrastructure or land development design projects with at least 5 years in the Middle East, preferably Dubai
• Prior experience in design & management of wet and dry utilities projects including stormwater sewer and drainage is required.
• Aware of load demand calculations for large private developments and/or large government projects.
• Shall be conversant with Water / Irrigation / Firefighting Authority regulations such as DEWA, ADDC, ADWEA, TRANSCO, DM, ADM, DCD, ADCD and other relevant authorities within the Gulf region.
• Shall have experience liaising with DEWA / DM for obtaining NOCs and design approvals, etc.
• Experience managing a large group of multidisciplinary engineers, designers and technical support personnel.
• Thorough knowledge of local regulations, building codes and engineering standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large complex engineering projects.
• Proven ability to direct work involving complex technical situations.
• Possess thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
• Demonstrable ability to work effectively with diverse teams of people from contractors to local government officials.
