Job summary

A leading environmental services company in the UAE is seeking an Automation Commissioning Engineer to oversee the commissioning of automation systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 8-10 years of experience in commissioning. Responsibilities include conducting FAT & SAT, analyzing control systems, and providing training to operators. The ideal candidate has strong PLC/SCADA understanding and excellent problem-solving skills. This is a full-time position with no remote work options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commissioning automation systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and, if required, to other countries as well.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful commissioning of automation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Analyze proposed automation/control systems alignment with project specifications.
• Conduct FAT & SAT for the automation control panels.

Skills

Strong understanding of PLC/SCADA/DCS systems

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation & Control/Automation Engineering

Tools

PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens

Communication protocols like Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP
