Job Title: Transportation Planner

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation planning studies such as transportation master plans, corridor studies, etc.
• Conduct associated operational analysis including intersection analysis and analysis of road segments and interchanges using standard techniques and packages (eg SYNCHRO, VISSIM, HCS); development and analysis of mitigation measures, and travel demand modeling
• Understanding of highway design principles as they relate to transportation planning and engineering

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years experience in transportation planning and engineering including preparation of traffic studies for small and large developments;
• Very good communication skills as reflected in report writing and presentations

Desired Skills

• Expertise in two or more of: Travel demand modeling (e.g. using CUBE), operational traffic analysis (using SYNCHRO, HCS, Sidra, etc.); micro-simulation using VISSIM or Aimsun.
• Experience in public transportation planning, non-motorized transportation, and parking management
• MS in transportation planning/traffic engineering.
• Work experience from ITC Abu Dhabi is desirable.
