Job summary

A prominent technology company in the UAE is seeking a UAT Testing Specialist to engage in user acceptance testing for various projects, mainly in payments. Responsibilities include participating in project meetings, preparing test scripts, executing test cases, and logging issues in JIRA. The ideal candidate should be proactive in escalating critical issues and ensuring smooth project rollout through timely testing and reporting. Training team members for knowledge transfer is also a part of this role.

Job description

Overview

This role is primarily responsible for engaging in UAT testing for projects related to payments and other functions. The resource should participate in calls and meetings held for projects, ensuring timely preparation of test scripts and execution of test cases, and timely delivery of testing requirements and signoff to enable rollout within project timelines.

Specific Accountability

• Engage in the BRD and FSD signoff process to understand the core requirement
• Timely preparation of the test pack in line with the requirements captured in the BRD and FSD
• Perform UAT for systems changes / process enhancements / pan bank initiatives in timely and effective manner
• Attend the triage and update calls scheduled by the project team and timely raise the issues faced to get the fixes on time
• Log all the issues in testing in the JIRA system for appropriate tracking and fix
• Immediately retest the fixes and report back the status of success or failure
• Escalate the critical/ blocker issues appropriately to avoid delays in fix
• Discuss and engage with the team members/leads to give status update
• Share the test results to team member/lead to confirm test case pass/fail
• Ensure to prepare a presentation to the team members related to the changes and train the team to do a proper knowledge transfer
