Overview

A Teller plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies within a bank or financial institution. As the first point of contact for customers, tellers are responsible for handling routine banking transactions with accuracy, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor. Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain cash drawer throughout the day with periodic verification for accuracy.
• Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in financial transactions.
• Provide informational support and address inquiries related to bank accounts.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate issues promptly to supervisory staff.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of the day and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bank for daily operations.
• Participate in training programs and attend team meetings for continuous development.
• Secure the confidentiality of customer banking information in all transactions.
• Prepare daily reports and service logs according to bank protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during high traffic periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required for consideration as a Teller.
• Previous cash handling experience in a retail or banking environment preferred.
