Role : Teller
Location : Dubai / Branch - Al Barsha
Role Purpose:
Delivering quality teller service to customers via accurate and efficient processing while projecting ADIB's professional image in all interpersonal dealings.
Key Accountabilities of the role
These are the main responsibilities of this role:
- Handle all teller counter service transactions such as cash deposits & cash withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase & sales, cheque deposits, etc., in line with operational policies & procedures.
- Coordinate with the Treasury department for centralized telegraphic transfers to obtain the best rates for VIP & high net worth customers, in coordination with HOPs.
- Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters and process any other counter service transactions introduced by ADIB from time to time.
- Sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
- Reconciliation & control activities:
- Act as one of the dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery.
- Assist HOP as the second custodian for dual control.
- Perform cash reconciliation & balancing.
- End-of-day balancing.
- General filing.
- Proper understanding and processing of all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- Knowledge of ADIB's Retail Banking products & services.
- Understanding of ADIB's Operational Policies & Procedures.
- Awareness of UAE banking practices, regulations & risks.
- Knowledge of competitors in the local market.
- Familiarity with all regulations issued by the Central Bank of UAE.
- Knowledge of service standards.
- Cross-selling skills.
Previous experience required (if any):
Minimum two (02) months experience or training as a teller in a banking environment or ADIB Academy.
